Hila Welner - Israeli jewelry designer
I am a graduate of 'Shenkar College of Engineering and Design' where I studied jewelry making and silversmithing. I live in Herzliya and raise two daughters on my own. My jewelry studio is in our yard, I go twice a week to sell my jewelry at the Artists market in Tel-Aviv.
My jewelry is inspired by ancient Mediterranean ornaments and architecture, I try to combine in my jewelry design elements from the past with modern materials and techniques.
Traditional Silversmith jewelry with contemporary materials from the fashion and the design world.
Most of my work is silver jewelry on which I add colorful polymer clay and filigree elements, flowers, semi-precious stones, dots shapes created by silvery and golden chains. I finish my jewelry with cold enamel to protect and complete the design and give it more elegance.
